Accommodations House Rules

In-house rules of the Blue Bay Resort 

 

BEFORE START 

Before the start of your stay at Blue Bay Resort, you must agree to our house rules. You will be required to sign our registration card check-in. Alternatively, you can check in and sign online to speed up the check-in process. 

 

FRONT OFFICE 

The Front Office is open daily from 7 AM until 9 PM. You can contact us by phone at +599 9 888 8800 or via WhatsApp +599 9 512 0773. 

 

SECURITY 

In case of emergencies concerning health and safety issues, please contact the Blue Bay Security which is available 24/7. Their phone number is +599 9 869 5503. 

 

REGISTRATION 

All guests staying at Blue Bay Resort must be registered with valid identification (sedula or passport for foreigners).  

  • The minimum age to check-in is 18 years old. If you are underaged and you are not accompanied by someone age 18 or older, Blue Bay Resort reserves the right to evict you from the hotel. 

  • Absolutely no minors unaccompanied by their parents/guardians are allowed in the hotel. 

  • The guest who accompanies the underaged person is responsible for their behavior, which will be subject to the terms and conditions stated on this contract.  

  • The credit card listed must be in the guest's name. At check-in, the Front Desk team will verify the credit card. 

 

PAYMENT 

Payment fourteen days before arrival payment will be processed in full, The payment must be processed on arrival before the keys are given to you. Payment terms and conditions can be different according to the booked rate plan (for example non-refundable rates). 

 

The credit card listed must be in the guest’s name. At check-in, the Front Desk team will verify the credit card. 

 

DEPOSIT 

A deposit of 250 USD must be placed upon check-in, which can be used for incidentals as well. This van be done as a credit card authorization at check-in. If not used, this will be returned upon check-out. 

 

PRICES 

  • All prices mentioned in this policy are in USD including taxes. 

  • When you make any cash payment, you will receive the change in the local currency (NAF). 

 
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE 

Check-in time is 3 PM. Check-out time is at 11 AM. 

  • If you would like to request a late check-out, please consult the Reception one day prior to your departure date. A late check-out cannot be guaranteed. 

  • Late check-out is subject to a surcharge.  

  • If no request has been granted and a late check-out occurs, we will charge one room night. 

 

LIABILITY 

Blue Bay Resort is not responsible for any loss or damaged belongings.  

 

PROHIBITED 

  • Flammable and/or explosive materials and/or objects with an unpleasant smell are strictly forbidden on the premises. This also means candles in the hotel rooms are not allowed. 

  • Drugs and other illegal substances are strictly forbidden on the premises. 

  • Firearms, ammunition, and other weapons are strictly forbidden on the premises. 

 

NON-SMOKING 

Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas, not in the rooms. Breach of this rule will incur a 500 USD fee for the deep cleaning of the accommodation. 

 

RESPECT 

Please respect other guests and the Blue Bay staff.  Breach of this rule, Blue Bay Resort will immediately evict you from the premises. 

  • Parties, loud music and noises that disturb the tranquility of other guests after 10 PM is prohibited. If these rules are not abided, you may be fined up to 250 USD for each instance of disorderly conduct as per hotel regulations, this can also cause the presence of the police, energy cuts and if the conduct is repeated you can be expelled by the administration. 

  • Please dress appropriately while entering public areas, e.g. no swimwear, nightwear or underwear in the lobby and restaurant areas. 

 

CLEANING SERVICE 

  • As per general health protocols we will be providing housekeeping services as followed based on the number of nights you are enjoying your stay with us. Housekeeping team is scheduled to pass by your accommodation between 10 AM and 3 PM. 

  • You are welcome to decline this service if you wish. 

  • Please note that only towels put on the floor will be changed. 

  • Beach towels can be changed at the Blue Bay Reception. 

  • Bed linen will be changed once a week, in addition to the regular housekeeping service. 

  • Additional Housekeeping services is possible based on request and at an additional daily fee. 

  • The do not disturb sign must be removed by 10 AM to guarantee same-day service. 

  • Oure housekeeping and maintenance is obliged to inspect the accommodation at least every three days, even if the housekeeping services are declined. 

 

ACCOMMODATIONS 

  • We have free wireless internet access in all our accommodations and central connections at central places like the Plantation House and the Beach. 

  • There is a Lavazza coffee machine in your accommodation with complimentary capsules. If you would like to have additional ones, please contact or pass by the Front Office. 

  • Please handle accommodation equipment and furniture with care. For intentional damages or pollution, a fee will be charged. 

  • All of our accommodations are equipped with an electronic safe for our guests to use. 

  • The accommodation inventory is only intended for your use in your accommodation. You are kindly requested not to take them out of the room. In case of misuse, a fee will be charged. 

  • Please make sure to close doors and water taps and turn off lights and air conditioning upon leaving the room. 

  • The Curacao tap water is of good quality and safe to drink. 

  • In case of damaging or severe staining of our linen, we charge $25,- for the bedding and $12.50 for each towel or pillowcase. 

 

RESORT ITEMS 

  • Upon check-in you will find beach towels in your accommodation. You can change them at the Blue Bay Reception. 

  • A second room key is available. We place a deposit of $75,- on your room. 

  • Adapters (220v to 110v) are available. We place a deposit of $5,- on your room bill. 

  • We kindly ask you to return any borrowed items, such as adapters, irons, extra hangers, etc. to the Front Desk. 

 

FACILITIES 

  • The use of resort facilities, such as the pool, tennis court and Fit Studio is exclusively accessible for guests of the Blue Bay Resort.  

  • The beach and pool facilities are free to use during your stay at Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort. The pool is open from 8 AM until 8 PM and has no live guard. Swimming is at everyone’s own risk. No running or ruff play is permitted, no food or beverage, and no loud music in or around the pool. 

  • The beach and pool inventory is intended for use by all our guests. Please be so kind as not to take anything into your accommodation. 

 

PREMISES 

  • We have security cameras on the premises for your and our safety. 

  • Please limit the use of food and beverages bought off-premises to your designated accommodation. 

  • Barbecuing is not allowed at/in the accommodation nor on the balcony/terrace of the accommodations. If policy is violated, a 500 USD recovery fee will be charged. 

  • No pets allowed on the premises. 

  • We kindly ask you to not feed any animals you see on the premises. 

 

LOST ITEMS 

  • In case of losing a room key, please inform one of our team members. A fee of 75 USD will be charged for the replacement. 

  • In case of losing a beach towel, 12.50 USD will be charged for the replacement. 

 

RESERVATION 

  • The guest may not concede the rights to the room to another person without the authorization of the Blue Bay Resort. 

  • If you choose to extend your stay, please notify us 24 hours in advance of your departure date so that we can guarantee your booking. This prevents us from having to move you to another accommodation. 

  • If for some reason you have to terminate your stay before planned, keep in mind that we won't be able to refund your money. The Blue Bay Resort will not refund or reassess the amounts paid if the guest leaves before the planned date. 

 

EXTRA PERSONS 

Your reservation is based on two persons. Adding persons to your reservation is possible, based on your accommodation type and availability of extra beds. 

  • Baby (0-3): We provide baby cots. Please inform us prior to your arrival. Costs are $25,- per stay. 

  • Children (2-12): For children under the age of 12 a fee of $25,- per child per night will be charged.  

  • Children (13-18): We provide extra beds. A fee of $25,- per person per night will be charged.  

  • Adults: We provide extra beds. A fee of $25,- per person per night will be charged. 

  • We do not charge a different (lower) price for 1 person reservations. 

Even if you decide not to use an extra bed or a baby crib, these costs still apply. 

A maximum capacity has been determined for each type of accommodation. We also count children as a person. 

 

VISITORS 

A maximum of two visitors is allowed per accommodation between the house of 10 AM and 6 PM.

We are honored that you decided to celebrate your special occasion at the Blue Bay Resort. If you want to enhance your reservation, we kindly refer you to our celebration packages to upgrade your stay.
